Elham Helmy is currently a teacher trainer at the American University in Cairo. She teaches the FELT program (Fundamentals of English Language Teaching for adults), ELT Diploma (English Language Teaching Diploma) and MSTTC (Math and Science Teacher Training Certificate).
Before starting the training career, Elham has worked as an ESL/EFL instructor for 20 years teaching for national and international schools. She has also taught general English and conversation in the American University in Cairo and Amideast. As well as being a former IGCSE English language instructor, Elham was a former teacher trainer at Notting Hill College, School of Teacher Training providing TEFL, TESOL, Ofqual TEFL and Methodology programs.
Elham has graduated from Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University; English Department. She has pursued her studies by getting a diploma in School Administration and another one in Methodology. She got the FELT certificate from the American University in Cairo in 2010 after which she was nominated by her tutors to work there. She also got CELTA in 2016 and recently DELTA Module 1 and Module 2 from the University of Cambridge and she is working on Module 3 nowadays. Elham is interested in developing her potential by regularly attending various ELT seminars and events.
